How does price comparison on Allsupers work?
Allsupers compares the daily prices of more than 186,000 products across 9 UK supermarkets: Aldi, ASDA, Co-op, Iceland, Morrisons, Ocado, Sainsbury's, Tesco and Waitrose. Every price is converted into a unit price (per kilogram, per litre or per piece) so products of different pack sizes can be compared on equal footing. Beyond individual products, you can build a complete weekly shop and see in one click which supermarket gives you the lowest total, or how much you save by splitting your shop across two stores. According to the Office for National Statistics (ONS), UK households spend on average £64 per week on food and non-alcoholic drinks, and our ONS CPIH-weighted reference basket of 30 national-brand products shows roughly 10 to 16 percent savings by shopping at the cheapest two retailers.
